Who We Are, and What We Do

We are the Lancashire Emotional Health in Schools and Colleges Service (LEHSS), a small team of clinical psychologists working from Lancaster University. Our service is commissioned and funded by the Lancashire County Council Public Health Team to support all schools and colleges within Lancashire by providing evidence-based training and support to staff on a range of topics relating to the wellbeing and mental health of students and staff.

We take a preventative and early intervention approach, supporting settings to promote positive mental wellbeing and identify early those who may need more emotional health support, before problems get worse.

We are based at Lancaster University, and all of our training team are Clinical Psychologists.

On the pages of this site you can find more information about our offer and how we can support the knowledge and skills of your staff to support the wellbeing of your students, and the wellbeing of the staff team.
