Staff Wellbeing & Reflective Practice

We recognise that working in education can be incredibly rewarding but also demanding. Supporting the mental health and wellbeing of staff is just as important as supporting students. Our service offers a dedicated "Skills for the Mind" pathway to help you attend to your personal, team, and organisational wellbeing needs.

Training & Workshops

We offer sessions on topics such as Compassionate Leadership, Managing Stress, and 'Leaving Work at Work'. These evidence-based sessions provide practical strategies for individuals and teams.

Reflective Practice Groups

Facilitated spaces for staff teams to come together, reflect on their work, and support one another. These groups help reduce isolation and improve professional resilience.

Individual Support

Confidential one-to-one consultation sessions for staff to discuss their own wellbeing or specific professional challenges they are facing in their role.

What is Reflective Practice?

Reflective practice is more than just "thinking about what happened." It is a structured process of examining our experiences to learn from them. In schools, it provides a safe environment to explore the emotional impact of the work, understand complex student behaviours, and develop new perspectives.

Why is it important?

Reduces Stress & Burnout
By processing emotional experiences rather than suppressing them, staff can reduce the cumulative toll of stress.
Improves Decision Making
Stepping back to reflect allows for calmer, more considered responses to challenging situations in the classroom.
Strengthens Team Cohesion
Shared reflection fosters a culture of mutual support, trust, and open communication within staff teams.
